Cuando hablamos de brecha digital generalmente nos referimos al desfase que existe entre las personas que tienen acceso y se valen de herramientas digitales para hacer más eficientes sus tareas y aquellas que carecen de dicha oportunidad. También podemos hablar de la brecha digital “generacional”. Esta es la que se da entre las personas que, por su edad, han aprendido a valerse y convivir con las tecnologías digitales de manera más o menos natural y aquellas que simplemente no les es posible aprovechar los beneficios de este tipo de tecnología porque no la comprenden o les resulta sumamente difícil realizar cualquier actividad, por sencilla que parezca, valiéndose de este tipo de tecnologías.
